You wash your hands, right?

Everyone uses hand soap, right? (I hope!) As a nurse, I was my hands 10000 times a day. Hand washing is the best way to prevent transferring nasty germs and viruses.

Your skin is your largest organ- therefor it can soak up many types of toxins and petrochemicals. Most soaps include ingredients like isopropyl alcohol (dries out the skin), fragrances (up to 4000 ingredients- most of which are synthetic and potentially carginogenic), DEA /diethanolamine (a hormone disrupting chemical), propylene glycol (found in antifreeze and a by-product of fossil fuel) and triclosan (endocrine disruption).

EWWWW. No thanks. Do you want all those toxins seeping into your skin and systems? I don’t! Look at your hand soap and see how many of those ingredients are there!

Here is an easy DIY for hand soap:

You’ll need: Foamer bottle, water, castile soap, Thieves essential oil and any other oil you’d like to add!

3 tbsp Castile soap

10 drops Thieves Essential oil

3 drops of Orange Essential oil (Optional)

Pour the above ingredients directly into your foamer bottle and fill the rest of the bottle with water. TA-DA.

That’s it! Super easy and saves you $$
